RESIDENTS’ RIGHTS GUIDE

Know your Rights and Protections as a Nursing Home Resident. As a resident at a nursing home, you have rights and protections under Federal and state law that help ensure you get the care and services you need. For example, the nursing home must tell you about these rights and explain them in writing in a language you understand. They must also explain in writing how you should act and what you’re responsible for while you’re in the nursing home. You must acknowledge in writing that you got this information. Download the guide to read more.

RAINBOW RESOURCE GUIDE

The Rainbow Resource Guide is a community resource developed by SAGE Metro Detroit, now MiGen, for older LGBTQ+ adults.

Many obstacles remain for LGBTQ older adults. Our laws fail to provide clear coverage; funding often eludes our communities and fighting discrimination is an ongoing battle. Too often, the community resources and policy makers we turn to for help lack understanding and training. This Rainbow Resource Guide serves to provide a tool to promote awareness, share information and deter discrimination.

GET VACCINATED! COVID PRINT CAMPAIGN

COVID boosters reduce the risk of infection, and reduce the risk of hospitalization and death for those who get breakthrough infections.

Viruses are always adapting, COVID boosters are designed to target the latest variants to keep you safe and healthy.

If you care for your loved ones, protect yourself and them! Vaccines aren’t a 100% protection from viruses – only total isolation does that – but staying up to date on COVID boosters reduces your risk considerably.

Ask your doctor or healthcare provider if you’re due for a boost!
