Credentialing

MiGen’s credentialing program goes beyond training to provide a more comprehensive approach that includes a hands-on facility-wide audit, assessment, action planning, and ongoing technical assistance to help organizations create welcoming, non-discriminatory spaces for all.

Earning a MiGen credential signifies that an organization has received LGBTQ+ cultural aging competency education from our subject matter experts. The MiGen LGBTQ+ Affirming Credential is valid for two years, ensuring that organizations remain engaged in best practices and ongoing learning.

Earning this credential demonstrates your commitment to valuing all experiences and creating an environment where everyone is welcome. It is a symbol of intentional inclusion, signaling to the public that your organization is a safe and affirming place for care and support. By completing this process, organizations not only enhance their policies and practices but also contribute to a broader movement toward equity and dignity in aging services.
